PSA if you ever drive different cars...
So we have 3 cars in our family, 2 of which we can take the kids in.
Our 1 car, Dodge Magnum, is the primary car that I always drive the kids around in.
My old car, a Honda Civic, is the car that DH drives back and forth to work, but we do have car seats in there in case we need to get the kids.
When DS is in the Magnum, he can't reach the window. He likes to have his window rolled down, but I don't worry when I roll it up since he can't touch it.
This morning I took him to daycare in the Honda. He asked to have his window rolled down, so I put it down.
Got to daycare, parked the car, rolled up the windows, turned off the car, put the key in my pocket and then heard screaming and crying.
I looked in the back to find that DS fingers were rolled up in the window.
Had to find the key, start the car and roll down the windows. It felt like an eternity. I felt SO bad. DS ended up being fine, he was able to move all his fingers after a little while. But man, did that scare me.
SO, I just wanted to remind everyone that if you ever switch cars, you never know what you have to pay attention to. I didn't even think to check to see if he had his hand on the window this morning because in our other car he can't reach the window at all. Lesson learned, thankfully, without damaging consequences.
Just thought I would share to make others think twice.

Re: PSA if you ever drive different cars...
Thank goodness he's ok. We do have a few cars. DS is mainly in my Infiniti and can't reach the windows. We also have the Prius and have an extra seat just in case. Good to know b/c I don't know that car as well

Re: PSA if you ever drive different cars...
awwwww, poor guy.....I did something similar this week to DS too. I was attaching his mobile back to his crib after changing the batteries and didn't realize his fingers were there and I screwed the back of the mobile and squished his little fingers. I felt so bad!
Glad he's OK!
