PSA- if you don't have life insurance
Please get some. This week, I lost a dear friend. She was diagnosed only in March with pancreatic cancer and it took her so quickly. She happened to have changed jobs recently and did not have life insurance through her employer because she was just shy of the three months. She had no other policy.
We never expect these things to happen, but you should have something (even minor) in place just in case. She was only 46.

Sorry for your loss.
And I agree - we lost a friend suddenly this year and he didn't have life insurance. And now his family is scrambling to make ends meet.

yes i agree you can get term for like $20 a month depending on your age and how much coverage. that way you have it for 20/30 years and after that you should hopefully have 401k money

I can't agree more. My mom passed away without life insurance and her funeral was so expensive. Took me years to pay it off. Everyone said I didn't need a seperate policy outside of work but guess what I got laid off and I still have a high dollar amount policy with a low cost. Keeping my life insurance through my job would have been way too expensive.
