Provera Question

Because of the PCOS, it could be months before I get a regular period so RE gave me provera to take four weeks ago and said I should get AF in two weeks...well now I'm two weeks overdue for AF, HPT is a BFN and I cant understand why no AF. Has anyone taken provera and NOT gotten their period? Isnt that was provera is SUPPOSED to do? Guess I need to call RE on monday huh?

Re: Provera Question

I've always gotten AF after Provera, sometimes just spotting - but always got her.
Definitely call the Dr. about it.

Re: Provera Question

I don't have PCOS but do have a hypothalmus issue which leaves me with very long and mostly anovulatory cycles.

I tend to get AF about 3 days after I stop Provera, which is a little bit earlier than the norm. My doc said that most women usually get AF 7-10 days after stopping Provera. If You have not got it after 14 days, I would give the doc a call.

Ooooh Im sorry! I misread your post. Perhaps 5 days was not enough to induce a period. I know I alwyas got VERY light periods on provera. I would call and inquire!
