Provera and Ovulation
Need to call my doctor to confirm -- but is Provera prescribed AFTER ovulating, but the period is no-where in sight and there's no pregnancy, or can the person still be on track to ovulate but their cycles are all screwed up.
Asking because a few days after getting my test results, I had (TMI) very stretchy mucus.

Re: Provera and Ovulation
I was given provera because I was told I wasn't going to ovulate on my own....I did O about a week after taking it. I naturally have very long cycles and I found the RE's would get impatient waiting for me to O and would push provera. The frustrating thing was if u O after taking it,according to my RE, you can't get pregnant or have a successful implantation because it alters the lining of your uterus.

Provera and Ovulation
most doctors give provera cause you didnt ovulate. if you ovulate you will get your period unless you are pregnant. there really aren't any scenarios i can think of where you would ovulate and not get AF and you weren't pregnant and would need provera. doctors generally wont prescribe it if you show signs of ovulation cause its can have negative effects on a pregnancy.
