this is a no no right??? I've been craving a sandwich all week! I have been good and eat what I want in moderation, but I'm afraid with the prosciutto.

packaged mozzarella even if in liquid is pasteruzed if purchased in a store

Proscuitto by default is UNCOOKED dry aged spiced italian ham. However, the spiceness and dry ageness makes it safe to eat and removes MOST bacteria .... if you warm up your sandwich and melt the cheese and heat up the meat you will kill any additional bacteria

Is the fresh mozzarella from the italian deli pasturized? I did not think it was. As far as prosciutto i don't think it's cooked.

well if it is an italian deli that makes their own mozarrella it is most likely made from pasturized milk still, but then after the fact it i snot pasturized and the bacteria etc that was used to form the curds is there.

If something is vacuum sealed it is most likely aslo heat treated .

Proscito by definition is just not cooked. it is cured.
