Property Taxes went up
I just received my 2011 tax bill. Our property taxes went up around $150...not so bad. But a friend of mine who lives in the same school district (East Islip), but the next town over (Great River)....her taxes only went up only $10. ***?
She lives in a wealthier neighborhood. House is more expensive than mine. Has more square footage than I do. I mean...am I missing something here????

Could be the opposite. Maybe their property value went down by a greater percentage. Likely since their house is worth more.
