The winner--I have forgotten his name--Christopher maybe? The snarky red-headed guy who ratted on the guy who lost last week (I guess they are both forgettable as I can't recall his name either). His outfit was good, but nothing so fantastic IMO.
I was shocked at who got booted--Ramon. His outfit WAS bad last night, though one other outfit was worse than his IMO both in execution and creativity. He seemed so talented too--oh well.

Nicholas won - his kooky creation fit the challenge perfectly and the styling was fantastic. Personally, I thought Christopher's was just gorgeous!
I was disappointed that Ra'mon was out. He was 50/50 on all the challenges but he is so likable!!

Thank you, can't believe I called Nicholas Christopher, they really aren't in the same league.
I agree Christopher's was gorgeous and should have won IMO.

I agree - they are in totally different leagues. Which is really impressive since Christopher (who looks like a Scott to me...LOL) doesn't have formal training in design. Nicholas's garments seem to straddle bad taste and trashy. So a sci-fi costume was right up his alley.
I don't think Christopher's dress looked like a costume. It was gorgeous and could pretty easily be worn now.

I wanted Christopher to win! I LOVED his dress - it was beyond gorgeous. And I really like him. I hope he wins it all! (did you see the previews for next week when he is crying, I am praying those are happy tears!)
I really hate how the judges don't really take designer history into account at all. I am still bitter from Season 3 when Alison got the boot (when she was amazing for all the previous challenges). I feel like the best designer could go home just because one kooky challenge gives them a hard time. I know they are all "you have to always be the top of your game", but really there are alot of designers who are at the bottom all the time anyway (are they really at the 'top of their game'?).
Oh and my favorite model is Matar!

I agree completely. I love PR. But this season has bored me. I hate they are in LA now. Why do I care what Eva Longoria and Lindsey Lohan think and where is Michael Kors? Is he gone? At first they introduced guest judges as filling in for him now they don't even say that.
I feel they made it too cutesy now that it is on Lifetime. Where is my Bravo drama!

I used to think that how a designer did in previous challenges should matter more until I read a Tom Colicchico blog entry a couple of years ago comparing these challenges to sports. I am paraphrasing but the gist of it is that past wins keep you in the competition but you need to win/prove yourself every time to advance since scores are not cummulative. After I read that, it sort of made sense. (you'll have to excuse my embrarrassing obsession with these shows.  )
I think they are doing a decent job getting rid of the weaker designers...Mitchell's gone, Qrystal's gone, that weird guy with the egg outfit.
I think Christopher crying is a total fake out - I don't think he's going anywhere.
I also agree with the pp that said this season has no wow factor. The challenges are not crazy - even the newspaper challenge wasn't the hardest they have ever done.

I was honestly shocked by who won and who was booted. My favorite this season is Eperson so I thought either him or Christopher (whose gown was gorgeous, however historically incorrect it was lol)...
I think Nicholas is whack and I honestly thought his garment was a piece of crap. Perhaps it didn't convey as well on my tv...

I liked Ramon and don't think that he should have gotten kicked off. I do think that the show is missing the edge that it used to have when it was in NY. I miss Laura ratting Jeffrey out, I miss Santino being Santino & I miss Austin crying. The contestants this season seem kind of flat to me.

One of the problems with this show is that spin off, Models of the Runway. I think that's the reason Ramon was booted rather than Laura. Laura's model was Fatma and everyone wanted her to go but it would have been to easy that way.
NO doubt Christopher should have won this challenge for the beautiful modern interpretation of the gown. That dress was a true example of haute couture. Nicolas' dress was nothing more than a costume.
