progesterone supplement question

So I started endometrin last night after my progesterone level came back at a 6.6 and I have to take it 3x's a day and after doing some searching on here I see that many girls report taking it if PG until the 12 week...is there anyone who did not have to take it that long or is it just protocol to keep you on it for the 1st trimester?

im on progesterone until 10 weeks. that is when the placenta should have definitely taken over

i was on it until 12 weeks. most are typically on it until 10-12 weeks because at that point the placenta begins to take over progesterone production.

i was on crinone until 12 weeks. recent research shows the longer you stay on it, the better
