progesterone shots
Hey i was wonding for all you IVF ladies, when you had to do the progesterone shots IM, does anyone do it themselves? I know its an awkward and painful area to be injecting yourself but i sometimes work nights and dont feel comfortable asking any1 I work with to help me ( awkward) when the time comes so if any1 has any ideas or has the same problem please let me know..

I have been doing them myself for the last 2 weeks. It's more awkward on the left side (I'm right-handed), but totally doable. I just use a mirror when I do it. The actual shot really isn't painful, but my tush has been permanently sore and lumpy! I do heat before and after and also massage the area after.

I did these shots myself (for the most part). As pp said - use a mirror. It really is not that bad at all. I would ice up before, heat the progesterone, and massage afterwards.
