Progesterone question...
So my dr wants me to start taking progesterone after o....(when we start ttc again) I'm taking crinone... I was taking it at night when I was pregnant and I thought that was the right way to do it so it stayedinside....
But I've been reading a lot about it and I see people taking it in the am.... They said it doesn't absorb into your body when you're not active, that it just sits there....
When I miscarried I had a huge chunk of it come out.... Like a 4" long by an inch wide strip... And I'm wondering how effective it was for me if it was just building up there!!!!!
For those of you that have taken it when did you do it?

I haven't started taking it yet, but I will on Saturday, and I was instructed to do it in the morning as well (for the reason you stated). Definitely ask your doc about that!

Lol yea I'm used to it now... Im going to read the directions again to see what it says about when to take it.... Because my dr never told me!!!!

i always took it at night although i have heard it absorbs better in the morning. my doctor never had a problem with me taking it at night. and like the pp said, you will get the chunkies either way. i remember chunkies coming out for a whole week after i stopped. its gross but the chunk has nothing to do with how well it absorbs.

Hmmm...I take it at night and I never get any chunks?!? I shove it pretty far up  Am I missing something!!!! I wear a panty liner for an hour after I get up and then I have no mess....I hope I am doing it right!!!

GYN said night, Dr B said day b/c it breaks down better, his PA said night. I've done both and no matter what, it comes out when AF comes.

You may want to also ask your doc about Endometrin. Its also a progesterone suppository but instead of coming out in chunks it liquefies. According to the pharmacist at Freedom Fertility it absorbs in about 5 minutes. I always used it an night and in the morning. GL!!!

I did crinone in the morning for the 10-11 weeks I was on it. I would get up about 30 mins before I had to get up, insert it and lie back down again so that it wouldn't dislodge right away. For days after I stopped using it I had clumps of it coming out and at one point I thought there was something seriously wrong.
