Progesterone levels-Prometrium

Hi Ladies Chat Icon
So I am 6 weeks today and have been taking Prometrium for about 1 week now. I am told that my Progesterone level is on the low end which is why I am taking 100mg one time a day. Now I am told to go up to 2 times a day because it is still on the lower end (it is at 12). Who has taken these and is there any reason I should be worried?

Re: Progesterone levels-Prometrium

My situation mirrored yours! I was prescribed the increased dosage after I had a bit of spotting and cramps and my doc said it was because of low progesterone. Early on my second trimester, I was able to stop the Prometrium. All was well after that.

Don't worry too much. Just be happy your docs are apparently on top of things. Chat Icon Good luck!

I didn't take that I took something else but I do know that if it dips below 10 thats when you really have to worry, but there are a few girls on here that had below 10 and they were still fine Chat Icon

Phew! Thank you sooo much! I am cramping but no spotting! Thank goodness! They are really on top of things! I am thankful but I had thought 12 was an average number.
