Progesterone Injections (for former IVF'ers)
My REs keep us on Progesterone injections for the entire 1st trimester (so they told me). My RE told me today that I will only have to take it for 2 more weeks. I will only be 9 weeks. Does this sound right even if they haven't tested my progesterone levels? TIA!

I stopped my PIO's at 7.5 weeks. My progesterone numbers were high enough that my RE felt I didn't need the progesterone support anymore.

They stopped mine at 10 weeks, but my RE said that he would have no problem taking me off them at 9, but since I still had more left, that it wouldnt hurt any to finish off the bottle...HTH !

I was only on the shots for a couple of days and then did suppositories until 10 weeks.

I took it for 12 weeks. The only reason being is because I was worried. The RE said I could've stopped at 8 weeks but she wasn't opposed for me taking it until 12. If you don't want to stop, just voice your concern.
