Professional Gloss?

I have heard girls on here say that they do the gloss after highlights themselves at home.

Can anyone recommend a gloss I can purchase at Sally Beauty Supply? I have blonde highlights.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

Do you want a clear gloss or a gloss with some color? If it's clear I use Shine Happy Clear Shine Treatment By Clairol.

If it's color John Frieda Luminous Color Glaze sheer Blonde

Re: Professional Gloss?

Thank you!!! I think my old hair salon usually does one with some color over my highlights. My current (new) salon (I moved) doesn't do gloss... Chat Icon

Soooo I am going to attempt to do it myself. Chat Icon

Not sure if they sell this at Sally but the girl who used to do my hair (and I'm still friends with) gets me Prizms Clear Gloss.

You are supposed to apply it then put a plastic cap (shower cap) on and sit under a dryer. I don't have a portable dryer like that so I just heat towels up in the dryer and wrap the hot towel over the plastic cap. I change the towel ever 15 minutes for a new hot one.

I repeat the towel changing for an hour and it works the same as 20 minutes under the dryer.

Thanks! I am going to try this technique with the hot towels!!!

How often do you reapply the gloss?
