I had DS about 12 hours after my last dose, but I was having very spaced out contractions even on the procardia. We stopped right at 37 weeks so he was full term. HTH!

I stopped the procardia Thursday, water broke Saturday night.
For what it is worth my nurse in recovery said that being on the procardia really wouldn't stop it if you are ready to go into labor naturally!

I started in August had them in October. Procardia is meant to stop the minor contractions so they don't become more. As someone else said if you are in full blown labor it is not going to help matters.
How far along are you? I started procardia at like 23 weeks and had them at 32 weeks. My frequency had to be uped a few times. I was also on hospital bedrest. A few times my contractions were not stopping and they gave me my procardia sooner than I was supposed to have it and they stopped.

Stopped at beginning of 37/end of 36 and had DD at 38 weeks. I started it at 31 weeks and also had steroid shots as well.

I started having contractions a few hours later, really strong ones by the next day, but never went into labor, I had a sched. c-section.

Same for me. I was put on procardia at 24 weeks and had them at 32 weeks.
