Problems w/ new Luvs diapers?
My latest Amazon shipment of Luvs had the new purple design, and we started using them this week. It coincided w/ DS going on antibiotics for an ear infection, but he has broken out in the worst diaper rash I have ever seen, and since he hasn't had this reaction to the antibiotic before, I think it's the diaper.
Has anyone else had any issues? His poor butt looks like this:

We are using the new ones, no issues, but DS is 9 months and has never had a diaper rash

hmm...we have been getting a lot more rashes here and never put that two and two together...maybe it is the Luvs? it does seem to coincide.

DD has a rash right now - but we've been using the new Luvs for a while, so maybe it's just a coincidence? She seems to be prone to them, she got a bad one with the old Luvs. Sorry Will's in pain

My nephew was on antibiotics and had a diaper rash at the same time, a small one, but the antibiotics caused it to turn into a yeast infection. And it turned into a big rash, he had to get medicated cream.

We used the new luvs for about a month and ended up changing to pampers baby dry. We werent having a rash problem but Ds was leaking at least 1-2 diapers a day.

not really rashes, but i def notice they are more red lately. of course i just bought a huge case from amazon!
also....i feel like they smell more than before. the old luvs never had that nasty pee smell that some do and i find these do.

I noticed the same thing!!!! I've always been a fan of Luvs, but I think we may be switching.

I noticed the same thing!!!! I've always been a fan of Luvs, but I think we may be switching.
me too....i think i will be done after this case. the smell is driving me crazy!!! after the twins wake up from a nap i go in their room and feel like all i smell is pee....and it was never like that!

Poor baby!! We use CDs, but used the new lugs on vacation last weekend. No issues for us and DD has super sensitive skin.

I don't use luvs but DS is on antibiotics for a double ear infection and also has a nasty diaper rash. it's just starting to get better..it's been over a week.

Dd has never been on antibiotics and started getting a nasty rash when we got a box of the new Luvs. I wrote it off as a teething rash but it would not go away. I ended up switching to cloth diapers and her rash is all gone. Her skin is perfect again. The rash was so bad that she would cry every time I changed her diaper because it hurt to wear a diaper. She is much happier with her new cloth ones. She wore the Luvs all her life and only had a problem when we started getting the purple ones. I gave it 3 months because I thought it couldn't be from the Luvs but sure enough it disappeared when we stopped using them.

This is exactly like his rash! I've never seen him with anything this bad--he doesn't want us to hold him if our arm is under his butt, and he'll sit on his side to avoid sitting on it.

OMG that smell is horrible. I thought it was just my kid with those diapers. Once i switched to pampers baby dry no more smell.
