ProActive users...
Do you find that the cleanser doesn't fully clean your face?
I feel like when I use the toner, once I'm done and look at the cotton ball, it's not clean.. like the toner took more dirt/make-up off my face...
I can't imagine how not having a fully clean face can be good for my complexion.
I'm used to using Neutrogena, which cleans my face so thoroughly that it leaves it squeaky clean.
Does anyone else find this to be the case?

Re: ProActive users...
Same thing was happening to me when I was using it.
My dermatologist told me that when using Proactiv, you have to use a cleanser first (something light, like cetaphil). She said that Proactive doesn't really clean your skin well.

Ahhh.. thank god I'm not the only one! I thought I had extra dirty skin or something..lol
Maybe I'll pick up some cetaphil to start with.. although I don't want to "over-wash" or dry out my skin....

When I used Proactive, I only used the Cetaphil at night before the Proactive. That was just to get all the makeup and dirt off my face. In the morning, when showering, I'd skip the cetaphil.

makes sense.. cause you're face isn't really "dirty" from sleeping...
Thanks!

Re: ProActive users...
I don't use the wash anymore (only the toner and the lotion) but when I used to I used to first wash my face with neutrogena deep clean.

from what I've read, your face (or your hair for that matter) should never get "squeaky clean"...that means you are stripping the essential oils away. Proactiv cleans my face well and I always use the toner afterwards.

Re: ProActive users...
I use to use it years ago and noticed the same thing, but I think it was because the makeup was harder to get off just washing it once then using the toner, when I didn't have makeup on that day and washed then used the toner nothing was on the cotton ball.
