Private room at LIJ?
Anyone have any info on private rooms at LIJ? Just starting to debate private or not.. how much are they a night? Thanks!

DS was born in 2006 and I delivered at LIJ. From what I remember, the told me that its $400 above what the insurance pays. I would double check that since that was at least 2 years ago.

I just delivered there and was told they are around $700.00 a night. IMO, I was in and out so fast, it was not even worth it to get my own room. I delivered 12/30 at midnight and was discharged home the morning of 12/31. It was initially just 2 of us in a 4-person room and by the last morning, 2 others had come in. The nurses are amazing at LIJ as well.

Thanks.. that is definitely not worth it for us.. we dont have an extra 1400 bucks lying around at this point!! (And if we did, I have a feeling we would spend it on something else... haha.. )
