My son was put on prevacid. One of the drs (not his normal dr) told us it was okay to put it in his formula. Has anyone ever done this?

Both of my daughters are on prevacid, gianna at 8 weeks old, Amelia at 5 weeks.
The solutab is just a pill that has all these tiny granules pushed together so when you put into liquid it just breaks apart.
I tried putting it into bottles and it just pools in the nipple and clogs it. The granules don't disolve
I the put solutab in a med syringe with 5ml's of water and shake til it breaks apart.
For my newborn i lay her down flat and aim the syringe towards her cheek and let her s u ck on the syringe and i do it immediately before i give her a bottle.
My older one is a pro now at taking it since she's been on it since 8 weeks old, her i just squirt it in.
Prevacid works wonders let me tell you!

I really hope that it works wonders for him. I tried doing it with the syringe too, but he just spits it right back out. I put it in the bottle today, and he did good. We have bigger holes though, because he gets cereal in the bottle. Thanks!

that works!! Both my dd's didn't do cereal in teh bottle so I didn't want them to choke on the bigger nips.
Give the prevacid some time, it took prob a good 3-7 days to see some improvement. Within 2 weeks i had happy smiley babies that weren't in pain.
 Hope it works for you too!
