preschool moms of girls
is it appropriate to send your kids to school in a dress? I wasn't sure since they will be running around on the playground and sitting on the floor if a dress will work.

i have only put DD in a dress one day since she started.. and it was because it was rainy out and i figured they wouldnt go outside anyway lol. but if you want to put a dress on DD and are worried how about putting little shorts under it in case?

Honestly?
Not such a good idea - they run around like little maniacs all day, playing sports, painting, and even doing some Yoga  Whenever I put Alex in a dress she can't keep up, and gets all tripped up in it.
Best outfit for the preschool munchkins is a jumper, or shorts with a tshirt.
DO NOT send her in her best outfits - they will get ruined!

I sent Bella in a dress maybe once every other week...definitely more in the summer, actually a lot this summer.
I sent her in skirts once a week, and when it gets cold I will add the durable cute tights....
She has a change of clothes there if she gets too dirty...and honestly you never know when she gonna have an especially mac and cheese all over her shirt day.

I agree, although plenty of people seem to do it. I've always been kind of freaked out watching little girls climb on playground equipment with long dresses on. I've seen to many of them trip/fall.

I have sent my DD in with a skirt or a short dress a few times, but never a really nice one and always short enough so I don't worry about it getting caught on anything or restricting her movement. I also always send her in wearing sneakers no matter what, I worry that the dress shoes would not give her enough traction climbing around and that she would slip. The worst that has happened with the skirt is a skinned knee, but she could get that with shorts as well.

I will send my DD in one. Probably more so when it's tights weather. I'm on the fence with jumpers bc she would need a bodysuit to keep it neat and I dont know if she can naviagate a bodysuit in the bathroom.

Ava wears a dress everyday!!! Not my choice. I always make sure that she has shorts/pants and sneakers there if they feel that she needs them. As for shoes, it's usually those red, sparkly wizard of Oz shoes..
