Re: preschool

Seems like a long day, but depends on the kid. Also, do they do nap time? My DS has been in daycare since he was 3 months old for about 10 hours a day for 5 days. When I lift my job he just turned 3 and I put him in preschool for 5 days a week, but only 2.5 hours a day. That's nothing compared to what he's used to.

Re: preschool

I think it is fine. Esp since it is a daycare. my DS did it last year - he turned 3 in january. he was fine - LOVED IT actually.

i will say, on tues and thurs when he didnt go, he just hung around at home (which was fine by me)

it def depends on the kid for sure. My DS is high energy and ALL BOY. He went from 9-3 mon, wed, fri and had no problems, never complained either.

GOOD LUCK w your decision

Meh, I think its fine. Then again, AJ's been in daycare since 4m. She was in 3y Pre-K and still in Pre-K now at 4. She goes in at close to 8am and leaves around 5:30. ACTUAL preschool is 8:30 - 2:45 for her. Rest is after school play time really.

Re: preschool

For actual preschool, yes. My DS will be 3 and he's only going 2 days, 2.5 hrs. Our preschool doesn't even offer longer days for this age group, although you can do 3 days.

Now, if it's daycare, well, then it's not preschool persay. It won't have the same structure. For daycare 8-3 is actually really good I think.

Re: preschool

Absolutely not. I own a preschool and many of my two year old children come 5 days a week. It is personal preference. It also has to do with your child. If there are social issues or separation issues then the routine of 5 days is great. If you are just looking for learning and some fun then two days may be just what you are looking for. You have to do what you feel is right as a parent. Good Luck!
