Preparing for baby ideas

What are you ladies doing as far as creating a scrapbook or writing a letter to the baby before he/she is born and showing it to him/her much later in life? Does anyone have any creative ideas for something like that. Maybe a time capsule. This is my first baby so I already know I want to create a scrapbook of baby's first year and then some. But I was wondering what other women were doing.

My first pregnancy, I made a small scrapbook of belly pictures, sonogram pics, notes about how I was feeling, shower pictures etc.

I still love looking back at the book and seeing how dh and I made our little girl. The last page was her birth picture and then we worked on a digital scrapbook of her first year!

This time around, I am going to make it after baby 2 is born when I'm home during leave- I was so bored last time so I think it will be perfect to do then

I have a book that i basically record milestones and things but direct it towards the baby himself like Im talking to him

I have a Mommy Journal for my first DD that someone gave me as a gift when she was born. It is basically a blank journal and throughout the years I have written her letters in it. They are all in one place, and one day I will hand it over to her. I've written about everything from milestones to bad days and everything inbetween...so one day when she is an adult (probably when she has her own first child!) I will pass it on to her!

i am saving things to make a scrapbook...but i like this idea of writing him a letter. i feel like the scrapbook will be more for me, since i'm not sure how much a boy would be into looking at that stuff, but a letter would be something i think he'd really like to have one day when he's older.

Get the newspaper when DC is born. It'll hold interest boy OR girl.

My husband just told me of a great idea that we are going to do. In today's technology age we are going to create an e-mail account for baby to be. We will e-mail pictures, videos, letters, journals and the like. We are going to give the e-mail address to all of our friends and family so they can send letters to the little one. Then he/she can read them when he/she is older and watch the videos.
