Prenatal Yoga!
I went to prenatal yoga today and loved it! I really love the stretching excercises that prepare you for labor and limit the chances of tearing or episiotomy as that is my biggest fear!
And...I met a girl with my due date! I'm so happy to have someone to compare notes with each week!

Re: Prenatal Yoga!
I didn't ask. But I'd say that you can't go too early! Regular yoga will do positions that aren't good for pregnancy or use your abdominal muscles incorrectly. The instructor for prental is certified to instruct pregnant woman so its very helpful.

Re: Prenatal Yoga!
I can't really help you there...I live in Chicago But, my gym offers prenatal yoga, prenatal excercise and prenatal muscle definition. Check your gym first so you don't have to pay extra somewhere else if its offered.
I am from Long Island, my family still lives there and I got married there so I migrated from LIWeddings to LIFamilies!

Re: Prenatal Yoga!
Is there a point where it's to late to start? I haven't found a prenatal yogal school near me (Garden City area) and I'm already 19 weeks. I'd love to stretch this body. I may ask the doctor tomorrow if it's okay to start so far into the pregnancy.

Re: Prenatal Yoga!
I am not sure if he still works at Dolphin in Westbury, but if he does, David specializes in Prenantal Yoga, I am sure he can change stretches to accommodate you in the class.
