Prenatal Vitamin Help!
So my OB gave me a sample of the vitafusion prenatal with DHA and Folic Acid, the gummy ones, because I can't swallow big pills. They are okay, of course not covered by my insurance. Any good OTC ones that are a decent size to swallow or gummy ones?

Those ones are much cheaper than a co-pay if if they were covered by insurance anyway. You can get them at Target, or get the Target brand. Or try ordering them from Amazon.

i havent found any gummy ones that have the DHA. but i find the CVS brand with dha 2 pills that are reasonably sized (bigger than tylenol but small than dayquil)

Prenatal Vitamin Help!
I buy the target brand and my doc says they're fine. If they don't have the dha (which I don't know I never looked) you can also buy flax seed oil in a bottle and take a spoonful if you can't swallow (for the dha)

I had read that pregnant woman should take flaxseed oil.
He gave me some big blue pills as well, the DHA is from plants as opposed to the DHA from tuna in the vitafusion ones. I am going to try a generic target/CVS something brand. I hate taking the fish oil everyday from tuna, I'd much prefer it from a plant form, I just can't get over the size of these pills!

Just looked it up, if taken in the last two trimesters, it can quadruple the risk of premature birth, flaxseed oil that is.

I baught CVS brand gummies..they do have DHA, but a smaller amt. than the Rx. ones..
