Pregnancy Massage?
I'm a non-preggo crashing your boards, looking for suggestions
My best friend is pregnant with her 2nd, due in May. Her 30th birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks and I wanted to get her something special ... I was thinking about a GC for a massage ...
Have any of you gotten these? Did you enjoy it? Would you like to receive a GC for one?
Any recommendations for a place? She lives in Seaford.
Thanks for your help!!

Re: Pregnancy Massage?
She hasn't been feeling so great, but I don't believe she's had any troubles with the pregnancy ... just feeling it more b/c its the 2nd?
I guess if I got her the GC, and she didn't feel comfortable using it during her pregnancy, she could always go after she has the baby??

Re: Pregnancy Massage?
East Wind out in Wading River has a spa now and this is what is written on their website under spa treatments:
Mom-To-Be Massage The expectant mother deserves extra care and pampering. Relieves back and leg pain, water retention and other pregnancy related conditions. Not recommended during first trimester or high risk pregnancies. 50min. $95
HTH
Sorry just read she is in Seaford so this might be too far.

Re: Pregnancy Massage?
I know that Red Door Spa in Garden City does prenatal massages and so does the Nordstrom spa. Like you said if she doesn't want to use it now she can wait till after she has the baby. I would love to get a gc for one. What a nice thought

Re: Pregnancy Massage?
You are so thoughtful to get that gift for you friend.
I had a pre-natal massage recently and absolutely loved it.
I got the mom to be massage at the Edamae Maternity Spa in Manhattan at 57th and 5th.

Re: Pregnancy Massage?
Thanks for all the suggestions ... I'm happy to hear that those of you who replied think its a good present
She's never in Manhattan, so I wouldn't want to make her shlep there for this ... but I will check out Joseph Christopher Salon b/c its very close to her in Seaford.
Someone else suggested Maximus ... any reviews of them for massage?

I don't know about a prenatal massage but 2 friends and I went to do the Water Journey thing with the massage last year for my friends 30th B/day. It was AWESOME!!!!!!!!! We decided we are going to go when each one of us turns 30! Too bad my next friend is turning 30 and I am going to be pregnant and cant get it probably. I highly reccomend them! I am so glad I am not going to be pregnant for my 30th!
