The moving in thing is weird, but you never know their situation. DH and I work odd hours and sometimes do things at the weirdest of times. (Although I can't imagine moving furniture when I knew others were sleeping.) And maybe tonight's party is just their house warming party. It doesn't mean they party all the time. I would bring it up to the landlord though to nip it in the bud before it gets worse. Just try not to go on the offensive.

id think if you tell the landlord and it still continues, perhaps the next time you hear the music blast something completely different- like AM radio, or church music or something so they get the point

I want to say they are in their 30's. They know..they are just playing STUPID!
I woke up this morning to the son running back and forth and I'm losing my mind!!!
I called the landlord and told them what took place, and she was very understanding. I told her I was going to give it some more time and if it continues I'll be calling her back. She completely agreed with me about the music, running etc.
However it's amazing how with all the people that came to see the apartment they chose THEM because they had "the best credit". Well..that goes to show good credit doesn't mean you have consideration for others!!!
