Pregnancy # 2 or more

Do you feel different with this pregnancy? I had awful all day sickness with my son, and with this baby, not much at all. But I am super moody with this one, and with my son, I was my normal self. I feel really bad being so feisty, but I cant help it!

Re: Pregnancy # 2 or more

With this pregnancy, I felt so sick in the beginning. My other pregnancy, I was not sick at all. This pregnancy, I'm trying to watch my weight because last time I gained 50 pounds.
Other than that, I feel great and I'm doing more with this one.

Re: Pregnancy # 2 or more

I can't say I feel incredibly different. I felt good with #1 and still feel good with #2.

ETA: thinking about it, I don't have the patience this pregnancy that I did with #1

Re: Pregnancy # 2 or more

I was sick with#1, DD, but waaaaaayyyyy sicker this time, and it is a boy!!!! I logged about 6 weeks on my couch in the beinning and had to quit my job.

My hair is growing slower this time and I got really big, much sooner. I am almost 23 weeks, but I feel like I look about 8 months pg already!! OOHH, and my boobs are getting bigger by the day. They stopped growing early on the first time.

Also, the food cravings are soo different. Last time, I craved sweet things- and bananas, cereal and Wendy's Frostys.

This time, I want more real food- meals.

My hormones seem more stable. No real "freak outs" this time.

Also, most importantly, I have an under-active Thyroid and have to take Synthroid. During my 1st pg, it was stable and the dose remained the same the entire time. This time, it had to be increased 4 times already.

Totally different with this guy. Both times I had horrible all day sickness, but it started earlier with this one. I never had heartburn or constipation with John, but I have it now. This pregnancy I can feel him being low in my pelvis while John was always under my ribs

Re: Pregnancy # 2 or more

With #1(DS) I had morning sickness only in the AM. I was emotional but I don’t think anything uncommon. I hated chocolate!
With this one I have morning sickness in the AM, & occasionally in the PM. I am nauseous all day long. I am cranky and tired and I loveeeeeeeeee chocolate.

This pregnancy has been different, but I have heard every pregnancy is unique.

I had 2 great preganancies and the 2nd one was even easier. I was so active because I already had a baby and needed to keep him busy. We went for 2 miles walks a few times a week and I drank water 95% of time which really helped with my weight gain. With #1 I gained 45lbs but drank apple juice like it was going out of style. With #2 I ate the same maybe a little less and gained 20lbs.

Re: Pregnancy # 2 or more

I think this pregnancy is a bit different than my last. I have to use blood thinners this pregnancy which I did not have to with my son. I had the morning sickness both times, but I think this pregnancy it is worse because I have a child already and can't rest and relax like I did when i was pg the first time ( also, they think it may be a girl, so whether my nausea was worse this time because of that I do not know). With my son I had acne, this one I have a few blemishes but nothing like I had with my son. Also, with this pregnancy my boobs grew so much and are rock hard. They are bigger now than they were when my milk came in with my son! I am still early on, so hopefully not everything will be the same (the GD for example).
It is weird because I keep expecting the same things to happen this pg, and although some things are similar a lot is different. I think I babbled a littleChat Icon

I agree...even though so many things are the same, there are still so many that are different...its so strange!

My first pregnancy was a breeze. LOVED IT!!! #2 not liking it so much. I had morning sickness this time and everything hurt much earlier.

ETA I'm definitely more moody, not sure if it's hormones or the fact that i'm exhausted working full time and taking care of my 18 month old. At least with #1 I'd come home and rest - those days are goneChat Icon

Re: Pregnancy # 2 or more

same for all 3 PG....this one I was sick to my stomach for a bit before even knowing we were PG, but that was it.

no Major m/x, just tired and achy occasionally, and sometimes moody
