Pre-testing for IVF?
I recently was on stims with the hopes of doing IUI but had to stop the stims due to thyroid issues...I won't be able to restart anything (even natural babymaking) until i get clearance from endocrinologist which will be at least March. My DH and I are trying to decide if we should just move to IVF once we get clearance from endo but I'm not sure if we have 6 weeks to decide this or if we should make the decision sooner so I can have any pre-testing done before I go back to MD in March...basically are there tests that need to be done before you can start IVF? (I have already had HSG done and genetic testing and MD already gave us option to do IVF so he's on board)...TIA!

Why is the endo going to take so long? My endo gave me approval to ttc after 2 weeks being on meds...

My thyroid is all messed up and endo said it will take at least 6-8 weeks to stabilize (I have hashimotos thyroiditis) and RE said since there is a high chance of miscarriage Or harm to the fetus with a messed up thyroid he doesn't want me trying until I have clearance from endo (my next endo appt is in 6 weeks)....I'm bummed and now feel like I want to be more aggressive once I get clearance but not sure if I have time to totally convince hubby or if I need to get him on board ASAP so I can do any pretesting now

i would check with your insurance
ours made sure we had 2 SA and HSG
