pre-surgical testing for Good Sam in west islip

I have to go on Friday for my c/s on Monday morning. They said it could take about an hour. Did any of you ladies have to do this? What should I expect? They said just to bring ID and ins card. I never had surgery before so this is my first time for pre-surgical testing.

Before both my D&C's I had to go for pre-surgical testing. It was pretty basic - they take blood, go over your med history, weight check, blood pressure check, give you info about your procedure. Both times it took about 30 minutes once you were in a room, but the wait beforehand can vary so bring a book.

I had an emergency c section so I never had to go for pre surgical testing..I JUST WANTED TO SAY I AM SOOOOOOOO EXCITED FOR YOU baby will be here so shortly...GOD BLESS

I went for my c/s pre-adm testing at Good Sam three weeks ago. I had to wait about 30-45 mins before I was taken in the back. Once I was taken in, I was weighed, BP taken, blood taken, listened to my breathing and heart, gave an RN my medical history, spoke with a PA regarding the procedure and brought up any questions I had. It was an uneventful appt. I was out of there within 1.5 hours. Good luck!!
