Pre-IUI question
So, we are moving onto round 3 of IUI. The first 2 DH had amazing counts (66 million & 78 million). So my question is - I know they want the man to obstain from ejaculating for at least 24-48 hrs before the IUI, but do you think we should BD the day before the IUI? My RE does not do B2B, so I was wondering if we should try on our own before the IUI. I know that when you try on yor own, they say it's better for the sperm to be waiting for the egg to drop. What do we think????
I'd hate to attempt this and then for DH's count to be much lower for the IUI.

I personally wouldn't. If anything I would BD the day after the IUI.
Are you planning on triggering? How long after the trigger do you usually get your IUI?

We always BD the day after. And yes, I trigger about 36hrs before the IUI.

With iui i was told to bd on day of trigger then abstein till after iui.

ok, this is only my opinion, but i totallly WOULD. my DH has issues with sperm, but i was told by a very knowledgeable friend that BD before IUIs MIGHT lower his counts, but even if it does, the count will still be high enough. Plus, IUIs is all about timing, To cover our bases, we BD'd both times last month and this cycle, and it actually made it better in terms of count. of course, it is trial and error, but i am just saying that nothing is black and white.

Same as above. I actually posted earlier this week about this same topic. My DH is out of town so we BD on CD9 last. He comes home night of CD13, but based on tomorrow's u/s results, I think IUI will be on CD14. Dr told us to BD CD9, IUI CD14(depending on u/s results), BD CD15 and 16.
