Potty Training Moms I have a question

Jack has pooped on the toilet a few times. Now, the last few days he refuses to poop on the toilet. He is pooping in his underwear which is fine with me (because I'm happy that he's going) but he would only go once a day (Normally in diapers he pooped AT LEAST twice a day.)

Now, he didn't poop at all today. Not even in his underwear. I'm getting concerned. What do I do about this?

Re: Potty Training Moms I have a question

DD started withholding and followed almost the exact same pattern. I regretfully gave her miralax which I will never do again. Our Dr. suggested it after 6 days with no bowl movement. It had a very strong affect on her and it set us back even further.

Now every day, I give her a few ounces of prune juice mixed with water and apple juice. I make sure she eats lots of fruits and veggies, especially things like watermelon and strawberries. Often she will poop in her pull up at nap or night time but we've brought back the chart and add a star for every poop in the potty and she's doing better and better. 2 more stars and we go buy a Belle princess dress.

I did a sticker chart especially for this. I am stocking up on fruits that will make him go tomorrow too. That's a great idea about the prune juice, I will def. do that. Thanks!
