Potty training help ... I am losing my mind!!

I have been potty train DS who turned 3 in November since Feburary and he still does not get itChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon I swear this potty training shit is going to drive me crazy to the point where I will have to check myself into a mental institution.

We started with the 3 day method took about a week and then a month later total regression.he goest to daycare full time 5 days a week at school he is better but they take him on set time and its a fight almost every single time he has to go but for the most part he does not have accidents. He has to wear a pull up at naptime or he will pee his pants

At home all he does is pee in his pants I try to take him he fights and won't go most of the time. The only time he will do OK is if he is wearing no pants or underwear and most of the time he will just go on his own then. I don't have to ask sometimes he doesn't even tell me he just goes.

DD was not like this she was trained in less than 3 days fully (except for a night that took way longer but I was/am 100% ok with not being trained at night)

I don't know what to do. I am pretty sure he gets it he just doesn't want to do it!!!

Any advice any one have a child like this??

No advice because my kid is the exact same. He turned 3 in October, we've been trying for months. he wears pull ups and will tell us if he has to pee or go if we take him to the potty 9/10 times. He REFUSES OUTRIGHT to poop on the potty - throws a fit and screams and cries. If he's busy or lazy he will pee in his pull up as well. he has the concepts and understands what to do but just won't do it. So frustrating. Everyone tells me to hang in, he'll get it one day.

Dd is only 2 but it's been a long process for us too. What has helped is taking her very regularly at home so she gets out of the habit of having an accident and starts actually telling us she has to go. Also, changing up her reward every day so she stays excited about it (mini marshmallows, m&ms, smarties, etc but each day is something different). She's fine when we're out and only had accidents at home. At times she does great for days at a time and then she regresses. She's does doing great the last week so I'm hoping this is it.

I tried a sticker chart but I think she was just too young. I gave her a sticker for going, took one away for an accident and every three or four she got a dum dum lollipop. Worked for a day but again she was young and didn't quite get it.

This was me with my twins (they also have a Nov bday). I was to the point of the tears fighting tooth and nail. We finally laid off and tried again that summer in June. So they were just over 3 1/2. It was like night and day. They got it right away. I don't know if the lightbulb clicked or they were just ready. One was accident free on the first day and the other took about a month (I remember celebrating 4th of July his first accident free weekendChat Icon).
