Potty Training almost 3 y/o advice needed
Have been keeping my almost 3 y/o in only underwear at home for past 4 days.He wears a pullup over underwear when out, but we have not really been out the past few days to focus on training. However, he is never uncomfortable in his wet clothes so accidents don't phase him at all. He even just fought me to put wet clothes back on him!
Any tips/advice?

Re: Potty Training almost 3 y/o advice needed
You described my DD#1. She would do okay some days at home but then others have more accidents. I did the same for a short while with the underpants and the pull up over. She didn't want to be changed though when she had the accidents and would go on the potty less often after having one. For US - I backed off for a bit. I figured if she wasn't uncomfortable she probably wasn't ready. I took a break. One day at 3.5 she just said okay mommy I'm ready to give up my diapers now. The 1st day she had 4 accidents (one in her sleep at nap time) but by day 2 she has been 100% dry ever since. She gave up her night time ones about 5 days later. My take is that if they aren't uncomfortable they might just not be ready - and if you push it you will just end up frustrated. Unless you have to have him trained - I would maybe give him a week or two or even longer off (I know some books say 30 days)- then try again. If you have to have him trained I would ditch the pull ups - but if he isn't uncomfortable then it might just be a matter of not being ready.
DD#2 on the other hand hated to be wet or dirty and would tell us to change her as early as 15-17 months. We are on day 4 of being 100% dry. She actually would have been trained about 2-3 weeks ago if I hadn't put the pull ups on her when we went out b.c I know it caused her to regress a bit. Once I took them away 100% she started staying completely dry and not relying on them.
You might try to ditch the pull ups all together. I found they worked well in the very early stages - but that once I ditched them at home - it only delayed the training when I tried them for out of the house.
Have you tried treats or rewards (stickers, charts, small toys etc)? I found that they worked well for my girls -I asked them what they wanted - small things (ring pop, books, coloring books, $1-5 toys, dollar store or dollar section of michaels). They would get one small item for every day that they stayed dry - and then 1 larger ($20 or UNDER) gift if they stay dry all week like a doll. Then we are done.
One of the great moms on here sent me the 3 day potty training - and I incorporated some of that with DD#2 and that really pushed her.
