potty training advice
DS will be 3 on 2/28. He has peed on the potty once at day care. He will sit on it maybe once a day there, generally refuses to at home but we offer, sometimes we get lucky. But he just sits, nothing happens.
He is a tall kid, i can't take the changing table anymore. We do the floor mostly, but I am just done changing this giant.
I wanted to do the 3 day methold over presidents wknd, but we go on vacation 2.5 weeks later and will be on a 4-4.5 hour flight. Should I just wait until after? I was dreading having to bring diapers for 2 kids (DS 2 is about 5.5 months now) so hoped DS1 would be potty trained before. I am so conflicted, thinking of him having accidents on the plane or in restaurants.

Re: potty training advice
I say try it. If it works, great. If it doesn't, then try again in a few months. I didn't think my son was ready at all. But then one day he just literally woke up and wanted to wear underwear. No 3-day method, no method at all! It's been 2.5 months and he's never had an accident. He was just ready.
You'll know when your son is ready, too. Or he'll tell you.

I would try it too. If he's ready then no issues on vacation. If he's not then you know to bring diapers. I have having same issue with dd who will be #3 in March. In could have written weird for word what you did lol. Down to pering once at school. Dd1. Was she was trained never an accident. So unthinking he's ready you will be fine on the plane and vacstion

I would do it. I did the 3 day method and we never had to use diapers again. If it works you will be fine. You will need to take DS to go the bathroom right before boarding. Then have him go on the plane at least once. And something I learned was to take DS right before we started the final decent. I didn't once and as soon as that announcement was made DS said he had to go....

Re: potty training advice
I just trained dd1. I started on Xmas eve by myself (at home nursing my 6 month old too!). The first day was a mess. Literally. I would be in the middle of nursing or pumping and shed start saying she had to pee. By the time I put the baby down or stopped pumping she would go
Days 2 and 3 dh was home. He was on dd1 and I was on the baby. Day 4 I'm like f this, put her in a pull up and we left. She was in pull ups for a week bug always kept them dry. She became better with giving me more notice and even holding it. After 1 week of that she's been in underwear.
My advice: -don't make it a bad experience. I always said "remember to tell mommy or daddy if you ha to go potty". -I never just pulled her away from playing or whatever every 15-30 minutes. That would backfire for us and it would become a control thing -take him to pick out his underwear. Make a big deal about it. Have him throw out his diapers. Talk up being a big boy -REWARDS. Stickers. Hershey kisses. -have a travel potty they're comfortable with. This way when you're out its so much easier
Any other specific questions lmk
