My son is 2.5 and I want to start potty training
Or atleast get him use to the potty

I know he is young but I want to start the process
Looking for ideas or suggestions on how to start

Potty training

It's taken me two full weeks but my almost 2yo finally seems to have it down. I used a slightly modified 3 day method (which didn't work at all for my first). Gave her lots of fluids, put her in undies and explained to keep them dry, tell me if she had to go potty, and then watched her like a hawk. When she started crossing her legs we ran to the potty. There were a ton of accidents at first but then fewer and fewer and she finally started telling me she had to go before hand. I gave an immediate treat when she used the potty (at first even if most of it went on the floor). Pooping took her a little longer to figure out but she seems to have it down now. If just say pick a few days you can really focus on him and go for it.

This is what worked for both of my kids. We did it around 2. We left them butt naked first day so that they could see themselves peeing. We then brought them to potty as they started to pee and celebrated when a drop fell in potty. We didn't use treats. Used diapers at night (DD self trained at night by waking dry, DS took extra effort but much later). Literally took 3 days... I waited for long weekends off work.

Potty training

He is def not too young. IMO its the perfect age. I did the 3 day method at that age and he was fully trained in the 3 days for both day and night.

My DD is almost 2 and 1/2 and I plan to do the 3 day potty method in the next couple of months. She shows a lot of interest in the potty and can tell us when she is pooping, not so much for pee.

About a month ago I ran out to buy a potty and she was so excited she peed in it the first time we put her on it. However, since then she hasn't peed and usually says she wants to pee pee or poop in her diaper so I haven't really tried potty training, only just continuing to put her on the potty and telling her that the potty is for pee pee and poop.

I've heard between 2 and 2.5 is the perfect age for potty training.

I didn't use the 3-day method, but I have the book. If you PM me your email address, I can send it to you.
