Potty training 14 month dd

Do you think this is too young? She tells me when She has to poop and will go on the potty when I sit her down. I wanna give it a try but I'm not sure how it will go.

I am sure some have done it but it seems VERY young to me. If you think she's ready then try it but if you find she's not taking to it I would leave it alone for a while and then revisit it later. Good luck!

It's on the young side but I think if she wants to try sitting on the potty Id let her. I've worked in daycare for 10+ years and the earliest I've seen a completely potty trained child was 18 months. She was very verbal too an hated being wet or dirty. I don't think it will hurt to try but I wouldn't expect a lot at that age.

DD is 15 mo and we put her on the potty, we haven't gotten her to poop yet though.
I think it is too young, but DH works with a lot of people who trained their kids young and thinks we can do it, so that's why we kinda started. I can't see it hurting....although, what do I know, she's my first

definetly go with her and take it as she wants - when they are interested and motivated potty training is easy plus if they learn to poop on the potty at a young age then they never have fear of it. I was mommy trained and my son started pooping on the potty at 9 months- I just knew what time he pooped. I was a full time working mom and pregnant so I did not really go with him as much as I should but at 2 he told me no more diapers and he was easy to train. My mom said I was trained at 18 months and it was my own doing
