Posting for anyone who can go out and support a great cause...
I don't know how many of you frequent the prayer board. There is a thread about a little 2 year old boy on LI named Tanner who is currently fighting through his second round of brain cancer. I am constantly checking the thread for updates and sending all the prayers I can for this brave little boy. Here's the story:

Anyway, through the different links, I stumbled across the fact that they are having a fundraiser for him next week and thought I would share with all of you who live on LI. Maybe some of the great familes out there can have some fun with your kids and support Tanner at the same time. Here are the details:
Wednesday, September 1
5-7:00 pm
Laser Bounce
2710 Hempstead Turnpike
Levittown, NY
I unfortunately cannot make it, but I thought I would spread the word. At the very least, maybe there will be some additional prayers going out to this amazing fighter and his family.

I wish I could go too, but I am in NJ and I work... there would be no way for me to make it on time!

I wish I could go too, but I am in NJ and I work... there would be no way for me to make it on time!
I know...My cousin is flying in from England and getting married in Central Park. She wanted to do it during the summer, but they book up fast...Wed was the only day she could get.

This is my very good friend's son! He is an amazing little boy and is truly my hero.

I do not know Tanner or his family, but I have been so touched by his story. I pray for him every single day and am just hoping for a miracle for the little guy! No little 2 year old should have to go through that. 
But I saw the bounce thing for next week and thought I would try and spread the word.
I hope he is hanging in there!

Thanks for bumping this again. Tanner is a very special boy and also an amazing fighter.
We would love to have everyone come! If you are coming just shoot me an fm so I can keep up some sort of count. I have a page on facebook for the event. I have to try to post a link!
And I know this isnt on the prayer board...but if you dont mind say an extra prayer tonight for him as he is on his way to the ER with a fever.

i've been in their shoes, and the power of prayer from strangers helped us through. i don't want to post my ds story here, but anyone can fm me...
that, and i'd do anything to help a child in need.
