Post Partum Urinating Pain?
I am 6 days PP and it hurts when I pee. I had a vaginal delivery. I did have a catheter twice, once while in labor and another one a short while after I gave birth because I couldn't pee on my own. It didn't hurt this bad when I was in the hospital. Do you think it could be a uti? any ideas? TIA

I'd say it could be a uti or pain from the catheter. I would get a urine culture done.

It's likely the catheter but you want to make sure you didn't get a UTI from the catheter. I woke up around 3 am the night my catheter was removed unable to move in such pain in my uretha (like seriously, I was able to tell it was that). I knew I had to pee, and the nurse walked me to the toilet and got me a pan to collect. Once I finally was able to release (about 3-5 minutes) I voided more than a liter of fluid. Voiding after abdominal surgery is always a big thing and can take a while... Once I peed, the pain disappeared.

Like burning pain? That's likely a UTI. But either way, you shouldn't have pain. Call your OB.
