post partum menstrual cycles

ds is 9 months old. I had csection. My cycles were always heavy, but now this is just rediculos. it is interfering with my life. just had to come home from shopping b/c i went through and had sit on my DS's plastic changing pad on the way home.

i saw my gyn last month, exam was nml and blood was nml, now going for sono in 1 wk.

I guess my question is, how to adequately "protect" myself? Any thoughts? I used a super + tampon and an overnight pad.

This happened to me and when DD#2 was 8 months old I had a "water" sono(dont recall the technical name) and found out that I had a piece of placenta still inside I had surgery the next day and then bleeding is so..... much better.
