Post Partum Hormone/PPD Question
My DS is going to be 10 weeks old in two days. I have been experiencing mood swings and anxiety.
Could this be due to hormones? This is my second child. I had PPD with my first one two years ago but luckily did not experience the same emotional problems this time around.
DS has been sleeping much more at night, so I thought that since I have been getting more sleep that I would feel calmer and more like myself.
I just want to enjoy my new baby and not feel so anxious and nervous...

I'm sorry you are feeling this way....
If you are unsure (it's so hard to tell sometimes when our hormones are so out of whack), I would call your OB and talk to him/her.

Re: Post Partum Hormone/PPD Question
Anxiety can be another form of PPD. I would talk to your doctor about it and see what they say. I have dealt with anxiety and it really sucks! Feel better soon

Re: Post Partum Hormone/PPD Question
I had the same problem, i spoke to my regular doctor because it was anxiety and not exactly PPD. On the rare occassion when I was actually able to sleep because DH could wake up w/baby. I couldn't. I was heading to crash and burn pretty fast. It's pretty common, it all has to do with hormones and the way you tolerate stress. They can give you something temporary or something that you have to take every day, whatever you decide there is help out there. It takes a while for your hormones to level off. Just be sure to mention to your doctor if your breastfeeding. I wasn't. Good luck!
