Possible Pre-e... Nervous
So my BP has been creeping up for the past couple days.. its usually about 118/78 ish... Monday at the high risk it was 126/76, Wednesday at my OB was 128/88 and this morning at my high risk appt, It was 138/98. They sent me for bloodwork and have me doing a 24 hour urine at home. I'm freaking out, they told me to take it easy today but how can I when I'm so nervous? I don't have any of the other pre-e symptoms, no swelling, no headaches, no vision problems. Any advice or BTDT stories?
UPDATE: bloodwork came normal, thank god! So now it's just bed rest until my appt. On Monday.
The good news is I'll be 37 weeks ( full term) on Sunday so if she has to make an early appearance, she should be fine!

Maybe you were increasingly nervous as you saw your bp rising from appt to appt?

That could be it! I definitely suffer from anxiety to it could be possible.

So.. Would the bloodwork definitely pick something up or could I still be diagnosed with BP and urine alone? Still waiting on the urine Results. TIA!

BP and urine alone can ABSOLUTELY dx pre-e. i was hospitalized after my 24-hour urine came back through the roof (normal was like 300 and mine was ~1200).my BP was actually fine but i did have swelling. otherwise i honestly felt fine and if it weren't for the dipstick and the 24-hour i dont think i would've known anything was going on. i thought my swelling was normal too. they didn't even do any bloodwork prior to admitting me. i was 32w at the time.
good luck. if you have an questions FM me, i had pre-e and HELLP and i volunteer for the pre-e foundation. good thing is even at 36+ your baby is at very low risk. the doctors were hoping to get me to 36 at least but i ended up delivering at 33w1d do to the rapid onset of HELLP syndrome.
