Possible contractions...
So you'd think after having 1 baby that I would know if what I was feeling are real contractions or just Braxton Hicks... but I can't tell. I'm thinking it's just Braxton Hicks but when I get the squeezing feeling it is very strong, which is what happened about 3 days before I went into labor with DD. I know these are not labor contractions but I am wondering if I'm closer than I think.
I know I'm saying this and I won't deliver for another 3 weeks but I think this kid might be trying to make it's exit. I just keep reminding myself that my doctor said I won't go this early (I'm still in my 36th week) because DD was almost 2 weeks late. And I remind myself that when I went last week she said the baby is not even close to being ready yet. But every time I think that I get another tightening feeling and I think hey maybe I should get off the computer and check that hospital bag!!!

Re: Possible contractions...
I am due a week after you and have been getting the same tightening feeling which my doctor told me is Braxton Hicks. I was hospitalized due to this (pre term labor) and the nurse that took care of me told me as the weeks go by the tightening is going to get much more intense. From what I was told this is perfectly normal although I have never been pregnant before therefore I do not know what to excpect but from what I understand this is just BH which sounds like what your getting.
Are you in any kind of pain? BH is usually painless.

Re: Possible contractions...
To tell if they are real or BH change the activity. If you are laying down get up and move around, if it stops it's BH.

Re: Possible contractions...
They are not painful and they are not consistent so I know I'm not in labor. But I do remember these same type of BH contractions happening to me a couple of days before I went into labor with DD. So I am wondering if this is the start of something for me.
Like I said more likely than not I'm probably still going to be pregnant for weeks but I said to DH this should be a wake up call of how close we are.
