Pooping in potty
Dd is 3 and newly pee trained. She still poops in her pants will not sit on the potty and freaks out. Says she's scared. I know it's a very common issue so I am just wondering what actually worked and when your child started pooping in the potty. Dd1 never had any issues. She trained in 3 days and never had accidents. She was easy. Lol dd2 is a tough cookie.

Re: Pooping in potty
Dd did not poop consistently in the potty until just after 4 years old. Nothing worked. One day it just clicked and she never looked back. I had tried everything. When she was ready, she was ready

Pooping in potty
Are they popping in undies? Or pull up? I don't always know when she goes until she tells me. I've thorwn out so many pairs b/c I refuse to clean them lol. But I don't want to go backwards either.

Pooping in potty
DD was pee trained in one day. Poop took about a month. What I did was let her go in swim diapers (that's all I had), and when they ran out, I told her there were no more and she had to poop on the potty. And she did. Good luck. I know how hard it is.

Re: Pooping in potty
DS was scared of pooping in the potty so we had him in pull ups. He'd hold it in all day at day care, and poop every night around the same time at dinner. One night, I watched him and when I saw him pooping, I just ran him upstairs and put him on the toilet. He was still scared, but too late to hold it in, so he went on the potty. We made a BIG deal of it...calling grandparents, giving him gifts, etc. And reinforced with him how "easy" it was. He agreed and we never looked back. Worth a shot with you!

Re: Pooping in potty
DS got peeing in the potty and even staying dry over night very quickly a little before he turned 3. But he refused to poop in the potty. He wouldn't poop in his pants either. He would tell us he had to poop and we'd take off his underwear and he'd "go hide" (that's what he'd tell us that he needed to hide) and when he was done, we'd clean him up and put the underpants back on. It was so strange. We tried to "force" him by telling him we didn't have any more pull-ups and he'd hold it and cry because he'd end up in pain. One time after many hours, we had to tell him we had a swim diaper he could use b/c he was so upset - sat on the potty and played the Wii in hopes that he'd go but he just wouldn't!! We even tried cutting a hole in the pull-up and sitting him on the potty but he was not ok with that either. We finally decided to just let it go and then one morning, (he was a bit over 4!!) he got up and told us he pooped in the potty. I said, "Oh yeah, is it still in there?" (he had lied about it before to get an M&M ) but he said yes and went in and looked and there it was. And after that, he was done.

Yep! That was pretty much us. Nothing worked Nothing at all. Then one day she decided to just go poop on the potty. No pomp and circumstance. Just did it like she had been doing it forever. I swear it was like a switch flipped and that was that

Pooping in potty
DD has been pee trained for months.......pooping has been a nightmare! She pooped in her pants on Sunday and freaked out! Ever since then, I think it clicked because she's been going poop on the potty regularly since then. (She would wait until I put on a pullup on her right before bed to poop) She will be 4 years old in about 2 weeks.
