Pool party Sunday. Would you move it?
Supposed to rain all day Sunday and we have a pool party to celebrate our boy's birthday. Supposed to have about 40 people over. WE do have a big basement for the kids, but debating if we should move it to next week. My only issue is you move it and it rains next weekend. We have plans Saturday, but would move it to next Sunday.
Keep it as is and see how it goes even though every weatherman is saying "super soaker all day Sunday" Have the kids play in the basement and serve the food inside
Change it to next Sunday and may have a chance of some friends not able to come and it could also rain then too.
Thoughts?

Re: Pool party Sunday. Would you move it?
That stinks! Very much like our Memorial Day BBQ (and it did not rain even though parades were cancelled).
You should check with the availability of the people who you really want there (family, closest friends).
Personally, we book up every weekend & we can't make rain dates. Most of our friends/coworkers have this schedule. We held our BBQ (but had an indoor menu that we tweaked when we could use the grill).
If your VIP guests are free... Reschedule (but have a plan b if it rains...)

Re: Pool party Sunday. Would you move it?
Thanks! I think we'll keep it. We have a big basement and den so we'll serve the food inside and hope for any breaks or no rain. Kids can play in the basement and adults can hang out, eat, drink, etc. It is what it is. Next weekend I have a girl's weekend with friends then the weekend after we're busy with another friend's party and it's Father's Day. Hoping for the best and it's not a total washout.

Then I would just do it inside. The kids will still have fun and you never know, it might not be a total washout! GL!

I've had pool parties in not great weather.
As long as it's not down pouring the whole day, people will go in- especially kids.

I would definitely change the party date.
They are forecasting heavy rain and thunder storms. I would be concerned about the kids being bored and especially safety if kids go in the pool and lightning starts.
