Pool
So i just moved into a new home. The house is great, but the yard sucks. The patio is non existant, no shade, no pool. I grew up with an awesome yard and if it was up to me i would live in my yard for the entire summer if i could. Being that we just moved and had tons of expenses including all new furniture etc I know i need to cool my jets on the yard. The dream is to have one of those half in/half out pools with a small deck. But i dont have 20-30k laying around. Hopefully in the next 2 years. Anyway... does anyone have one of those intex pools? Are they decent enough for a quick and temporary fix? Do they install easy? Is the maintenance the same as other pools? If you have one you can recommend let me know. Thanks!

Re: Pool
I have a Bestway pool (Same as Intex). Got it at TRU a few years ago. It's great. Simple to maintain. I have a guy (former worker for Island Recreational) who put it's up in May and takes it down in Sept (takes about an hour). Make sure the ground is level. Image Attachment(s):

That sounds amazing. Where are you located? How much does it cost to have him put it up and take it down?? Would love someone to do it for me lol

Re: Pool
I know someone with an index pool. He's had it for 6 yrs. Only replaced the liner this year. He's very happy with it. He hasn't taken it down every year. I think 2 or 3 yrs he's left it up all year.

Re: Pool
Yes! I never had a yard big enough for a pool; so when DH and I bought our house; I wanted one. I always did.
We bought the 22" round Intex. Dh set it up himself. There was some leveling he had to do where we wanted to put it. But if you have a fairly flat yard; you will be fine.
But it's going on year 7. And I never have taken it down; even though it says you are supposed to. Instead of using chlorine; we made it a saltwater pool.
At the time; I bought it from Walmart for around $700/800. I think its double the price now; but you dont need one as big if you are willing to get a bigger one in a few years.
