The "light" has to do with the way it is processed and the way it tastes. Same thing with extra virgin, it isn't better for you, it just tastes better.

Exactly, and to add the darker the olive oil the lower the smoking point is, which is why you shouldn't fry with extra virgin oil. the oil will smoke and burn.

I thought they were the same. I just saw a nutritionist last week and she said canola oil is the best for you. It has the least amount of saturated fat. Less then half of EVOO.

EVOO has the most vitamins in it from what I was told and just tastes a little "better" so they say, I prefer it so stick to it, but I think they are all "similiar" enough in health benefits. Except maybe Veggie oil which is known to be higher in saturated fats.
