I like them both but, I'm biased towards Thomas John since I have a Thomas Joseph (after his grandpas).
ETA - and half my neighborhood has little boys named Aidan and Liam.

Its ok.. I like Aidan too..its just that both Thomas and John are family names so I thought it would be nice!!!! Looks like Aidan it will be!

I love the way Aidan James sounds together, but I'm partial to Thomas John because I have a Thomas Michael after my father and both grandfathers. Also, as much as I love the name Aidan, Thomas is less common these days, although a classic name.

Aidan James was our original name for a boy before we changed to Aidan Jack ... didn't matter since we're having a girl!

Both are nice names but I slightly prefer Aidan. That said, I don't know if you realize, but Aidan is SUPER popular now. I totally get why, it's a great name, but just realize that there are going to be tons of little Aidan's running around. As long as that doesn't bother you, then I'd say go for it, I love the name. You can't go wrong with Thomas either though and it will be less common!

This is EXACTLY my concern. I wouldnt want him to be 1 of 3 Aidans in his class.... and Thomas is not TOO popular..so I dont know...

my opinion...i chose neither. im not a fan of aidan (although my dh loves it) and thomas james to me is too traditional...we prefer not so traditional
