Pneumonia
Be careful when sick girls. I thought I just had a bad cold. It started Tuesday and when I got to my primary dr yesterday I had already developed pneumonia. Who knew it could progress that quickly. Never had it before either. I'm so nervous about it and am on strict orders to rest until at least Wednesday. So even if you think you'll just brave it out, get to the dr just to be sure. My mom pushed me to go.
Also I was sitiing in the room waiting and broke out into this deep sweat because I hadn't eaten in a few hours since I was waiting. They had to check my glucose levels which wouldn't even register cause they were so low, gave me a protein bar, and they checked my oxygen level to make sure baby was ok. Ugh, so scary. So now I have this monitoring system and she wants me to check my levels when I feel like that and randomly throughout the day and show it to my OB.
What a crazy day it was! Oh the joys of pregnancy!

Wow thank goodness you went to the dr! I've never had it but a close friend of mine has had it and I know it really wiped her out. Take it easy and feel better soon!

Wow, has it really?? I haven't heard of anything. I work in a school so I'm hoping none of my students have it.

Is it really going around??? I had it in June, when I was about a month pregnant, it was MISERABLE! i had it once before 2 yrs ago and it was like 10x worse than that time, prob since i was preggo at the same time...
It's dangerous in general, let alone while being pregnant...definitely don't take any colds lightly!!!!!!!!
Now I'm nervous if it's going around...I'm so prone to it, it's scary when I even get a sore throat/small cough...
I hand sanitize like crazy in school every day so hopefully i'll keep it away...

My ped told me she has seen so many cases of kids having it. dS and DH both had it last month he got it after his bday party.
