Plus sized girls - maternity clothes related

Where did you find the best options for plus size maternity clothes? Has anyone bought from Lane Bryant Maternity collection?

ha ha
Good luck
Its AWFUL

JC Penny for me had the most choices and there stuff was at least stylish.

And you can return in store ( theyonly have Plus size online) But they have the biggest selection I have seen.

I havent gotten lane bryant yet cause even with the coupons its still too much for me to spend.

Motherhood maternity has a small section in some stores( also there stuff is in Destination Motherhood) , I like their Jeans ok and have gotten a few tops.

I also got some new stuff on E-bay believe it or not.

I know Fashion Bug has some, but Im not into any of their styles at all.

I agree....it is hard!
But I managed to get some nice things. I also got a lot from JC Penney. I ordered jeans from Lane Bryant and love them...expensive but so worth it IMO beacause I had no jeans that were comfy. I wash them all the time cause I wear them all the time and they are holiding up well! I aslo got some tops (no pants) at Motherhood in the Source Mall. And, I found that so many of the tops didn't fit right in the chest area....so cami's have become my friend!

I think I have to wear a tank or cami under almost every shirt I bought except for t-shirts. I am not a fan of plain t-shirts because I feel like they make me just look heavy, not preggo. So the real cute preggo tops all need shirts underneath or else I am giving a free show!!! Chat Icon

I got a lot of stuff from JC Penney. Just remember that they run a little big.

I did not get Lane Bryant because when I was preggo, they really didn't have anythingChat Icon

Motherhood stinks. The shirts are too small and the pants just don't fit right.

Old Navy had some OK stuff.

Re: Plus sized girls - maternity clothes related

jc penney's in queens center mall has plus-size in store. i got a few basics there.

i also bought at the source mall, at that motherhood store. the plus-sized stuff is in the back corner, but i scored with a bunch of shirts and jeans.

i got some old navy xxl shirts, but they are starting to get a little tighter now.

and i agree with everyone about the tanks. i bought some for a good price at target's maternity section. their shirts with sleeves do not fit my fat arms, but the tanks were fine.

i never bought from lane bryant, just kinda lazy to do it online.

good luck and happy shopping!!

My mom treated me to 4 pairs of pants for work from Lane bryant when their matenity selection was first released in Dec. Two pairs fit perfectly - they are machine washable and I just hang them to dry I wear them every week and they hold up very well. They are really comfy and plain black. The other two pairs - I always fit into one size there and the other two were ridiculously tight - I think they were missized as I never have problems with that size from that company. The problem is that if that is the case you paid for shipping and although you can go to the store to return you have to reorder online to get them. Also I did standard shipping and they took 3 weeks to get to me.

I haven't tried JC Penny's - I get some tops at Old Navy (but I am XL in tops from them usually) I did order some stuff online plus from Old Navy since they don't sell it in the store. I find some pants from there fit great and others are huge on me.

I did get a few things from Motherhood but I don't think the quality is that great.

Destination Maternity in Huntington has a plus size section, I bought a few tops there. I bought a few pairs of sweats at Lane Bryant and they got me through the entire pregnancy

Re: Plus sized girls - maternity clothes related

I got pants/jeans from motherhood maternity. I was able to get away with sweaters that I had since I've been pg most of the winter. I got a few shirts from Old Navy's plus size dept (not maternity), they have been great. I just got a 3x and they will take me through the next 3 weeks.

I didn't check out Lane Bryant bc I was already 7 months and refused to buy any more clothes. You would think I'd buy stuff at JCPenney since my mom works there and I would get a discount.

I had great luck at the Maternity works outlet in Tanger but it took a few trips. They can be hit or miss.

Re: Plus sized girls - maternity clothes related

Thanks ladies for replying. I live in Orange County - so I can't get to the LI stores for a few weeks. I did go today to Motherhood Maternity in a nearby mall and got a few shirts & 2 pairs of pants, I didn't LOVE them...but they looked okay. 1 of the tops fit funny, but it was cute...so I bought a cami like others said they did. I also bought a pair of jeans at Target today. I wish I had more selection up here. I'll have to investigate.
