Plus Size Mommys

I'm a plus size TTCer. I've read that extra weight can cause problems when trying. Did any of you find this to be the case?

When I mentioned TTC to my gyno over the summer, she shrugged it off as a minor-to-non issue. I was kind of hoping she was going to give me the big lecture to motivate me!

Any thoughts on the subject or how your PG has been, would be appreciated.

Not preggo now, but I had two healthy and uncomplicated pg. I had no problems getting pg.

Same here! I had no issues TTC or during this pregnancy. I have kept my weight to a min and didn't really gain weight until this last dr visit, I just gained 4lbs making me a total of 5lbs gained in 7 months. Not bad!
I definitly watched and did more walks with the dog, I think that helped.

I didnt have any problems conceiving at all !!

no problems conceiving at all.... the first month we used an OPK we got a BFP

I will say that becuase of my weight, I'm worried about getting bad granny ankles and back aches, though....

And buying maternity clothes isn't the easiest....

other than that, no complaints

I had no problems conceiving and had a healthy pregnancy. However, if I had to do it over, I would have started an exercise routine before getting pregnant. Not necessarily just to lose weight, but just so I would have been doing something that I could have continued through the pregnancy. I was not exercising before and was nervous about adding anything once I got pregnant other than light walking. I think going through the pregnancy and recovering from birth would have been better if I had been more physically active all along.

No problems getting pregnant and my pregnancy was pretty normal. I did have gestational diabetes but my DR said it had nothing to do with my weight.

I had no problem getting pregnant but I do have some blood pressure issues now at the end of the pregnancy and Im on modified bed rest. But in all honesty it could be due to my weight but it can also happen to anyone during pregnancy.

I had no problem getting PG either.

In the end of my pregnancy, I did develop pre-eclampsia. My BP was boarderline high pretty much the entire pregnancy, but towards the end- the high BP and protein in my urine- caused me to be induced almost 3 weeks early- but not too sure if this was due to my weight- but it might have been.

I had infertility issues, but most likely due more to my age than my weight, although my RE did say that being overweight can alter your hormones and affect fertility.

I had an easy and uneventful pregnancy thank God.

I am slightly over weight and got pg after 3 months of trying.

And thus far no complications with my pregnancy (I'm 25 weeks).
