Please Touch Museum

What ages do you think this museum is good for? My son is 11 months, but he walks. Was thinking of bringing him.

We brought my son when he was a little bit under two, and I think he would have enjoyed it if he was a little bit older.

We took DD at a little over a year and half old, she LOVED it!!! It's such a great place!! 11 months is a little young IMO for what they offer BUT since he's walking he might enjoy it a little more. If you're going to be in the area you might as well go, it's not expensive and if nothing else........YOU will enjoy it too!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thanks! Maybe I will wait until the summer time. My husband has been dying to go to Philly for cheesesteaks and I refuse to take a trip there just for food lol.

Re: Please Touch Museum

When I had a baby, I took him to a lot of museums. In hindsight, he was young.

I would not make a trip just for your 11m old. You can still go places for you.

It wouldn't be just for him, it would be in addition to getting cheesesteaks (for my husband) and possibly a night in AC (for me!)

I think he's a little young. I would wait until spring and you can also do the philly zoo which is gorgeous. The Camden aquarium is also really cool and they have two famous hippos which we loved.

I think I went to a lot of place too early because of LIF. Someone would post pics of Dutch Wonderland or Sesame Place and I wanted to take 1yo DS. We definitely could have waited to go. I went to a lot of places when DS was a baby/toddler.

I remember taking DS to the Boston Children's Museum when DS was like 6 months old. He was a baby. He couldn't do anything there.

I personally would skip the kid museum and do your adult activities.

We went about 18 mo. Does he climb? There is lots to climb on.

ETA then I'd say its fun up to like 10. There is a lot of pretend play an older kids were having a ball too.

Yeah this is what i'm thinking to wait until spring/summer. He loves aquariums so we will definitely have to check that one out.
